Applications for Students
ADMISSION APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
WHEN TO APPLY
Prospective students may make application at any time prior to regularly scheduled registration days. It is recommended that prospective students should apply for admission at least three months before their anticipated entrance date. CLIBC admits new and transfer students at the beginning of each term, in September and January.
1. APPLY FOR ADMISSION
Accurate, legible completion of the basic form is important. The completed form should be mailed to the Admissions office of the campus to which you are applying together with the registration fee before transcript and reference forms are given out to others.
2. SEND YOUR TRANSCRIPTS TO CLIBC
Requests need to be made for a transcript of courses taken at another institution. Have transcripts sent to the appropriate CLIBC office. These are required.
3. WRITE AN AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL ESSAY
Instructions for writing the essay are given in the Application for Admission; submit it with the application.
4. REFERENCES
Two reference forms are provided, one for a Pastor and one for a friend. Complete the top section of each form and sign the waiver of confidentiality, then give the form to the appropriate person with a stamped envelope addressed to the appropriate Admissions Office.
5. INTERVIEW
Prospective students should call to schedule an interview with the school Administrator prior to admission.
ENGLISH COMPETENCY - UNITED STATES STUDENTS
All new students must demonstrate competency in English by having completed one of the following:
1. A freshman English course at another college;
2. A passing score in a community-college level English equivalency placement exam. Please have placement exam results sent to CLIBC.
If a student is not able to demonstrate equivalency in either of these areas, the student may be required to simultaneously enroll in a community-college level English course.
NOTIFICATION
After the Admissions office has received the application, a letter of notification will be sent as soon as possible after the decision has been made.
